I escaped to Portugal a few weeks ago (time seems to have flown it must be a month now) for a bit of last minute sunshine. Booked two days before we flew so it was pot luck on where we would end up! Couldn't have picked it better though, really lovely place on the south coast. Spent most of my time relaxing in the sun, reading my book, drinking cocktails and eating far too much good food. I have never eaten so much fish, didm't think I even liked it, but I was wrong! Highlight was a spot of snorkelling, no need to go somewhere special to do it just swim out a little way into those beautiful turquoise waters and dive down! Wandering the streets listening to live music and acting like teenagers was top on my list of priorities for the trip as well as a few midnight dips in the pool!
NYFW Hair & Makeup
Ok so perhaps I am biased, I just got my
hair cut at the fabulous Electric hair salon in town, I now have a middle parting and a
cute diagonal cut towards the front. Bang on trend it would seem! not only that the Stylist Charles gave me some great tips on how to re-create the look myself. For that curly texture use straightening irons to curl the hair, wrap round my finger to cool before adding a little product and shaking through the curls to add volume. This is a great look for those of you like me who want a quick easily achievable hair style, it looks great on the catwalk and can be worn as an everyday look too. Thanks guys!
I am loving
the middle parting look and it seems to be all over the shows this season. Rebecca Taylor's show features that great textured look a little 90's grunge with a 2013 update.

Smokey neutral tones swept across
the eye and a smudgy line underneath pull the look together with a flash of red on the nails.
Alexander Wang’s show was a wash with sleek style again this year,
a personal favorite is that great ombre look! (it's sticking around for another season) A Low pony pulling your attention to that warm red tone running through the
length of the hair. Fab to wear now!

Backstage
at Jeremy Scott that Smokey eye has been transformed with a hint of plumb, a
gentle flick traces the line of the eye across the lid. This one I am definitely trying at home! A full eyebrow, nude
lip and 60’s inspired hairdo finish off the look.

Finally Jenny Packham brings us the
‘Volume’! Curls galore brings a contrast to all the sleek looks we are seeing.
Inspired by “Picnic at Hanging Rock’ , a seventies cult film, the show features
models with full feminine looks, swept across and clipped into position neatly.

Working with Oxford Fashion Week
Wow! What a hectic two weeks! I have been working with Oxford Fashion Week in the run up to 'Dress Up LiveFriday' that was held on the 30th of August. What an amazing experience, I have met some fantastic, creative people that pulled together a night to remember! Over 2000 people attended on the Friday and the feedback has been so positive.
Full write up to follow with lots of lovely photos!
Bring Back Summer!!
A collection of my fave summer images from across the web. I am not looking forward to the winter, well apart from digging out my faux fur coat and black boots!
Bring on next SUMMER!!!!
Styling for Photoshoot
So I collaborated with a friend Corey a while back, he runs an agency over in NZ and wanted to test the market here in Oxford. Anyway, I teamed up and helped him with a little modelling competition that we ran together, a facebook based competition with the winner getting a photoshoot styled and organised by yours truly! I love doing things like this, I really do so jumped at the chance. I pulled in some great clothes, mainly from this fab brand Goldie London, a wonderful makeup artist Jess, two photographers, Sara and Maciek, and Zoe styled the hair. I worked with the top three models in the competition, Hannah, Sophie and Rosa and we had some great fun creating pictures for their port folios. It was a jam packed few hours but here are the results of a great team.
Hoping to do some more shoots in the near future.

LIFE STORY
Reading through this months Harper's Bazaar I came access this little story about the age of Instagram, worth a read indeed... 'nothing happens when you sit at home' Elliot Erwitt.
Boston Trip
Boston is beautiful in the fall, sitting on the roof terrace doing work might be freezing but the view is amazing. Spent my afternoon today wandering through the leafy parks down to the harbour. Tomorrow is a new adventure...
